Kia ora team,

Sorting and stacking is well underway! We’ve had two sessions so far out at the DHL warehouse organising over 2000 beautifully wrapped presents. I’ve had so many offers to help which have all been really appreciated, and I’m reminded with each one, how giving our Shoebox Christmas team is! I’m lucky enough to also have a really cool network of friends and work family so they were first on the list for the sorting sessions, with about 30 of us in high vis vests stacking presents into their school piles and checking them off the list over the two days.
Thanks to them we’ve got some serious looking piles at the warehouse. We are nearly ready to start taking these out to the schools to give those kids the smiles that this whole project has been set up to deliver!
So that I can be as certain as possible that we’ve got every kid covered, I’ve sent a link to everyone that’s signed up (not including the Rapid Response team) to update their profile and let me know if they’ve dropped off their present or not. Some of the team have already done this, if that’s you; thank you for being awesome! This means less nightmares of one little kid sitting at the school wondering why she doesn’t have her present while all her classmates do. (It doesn’t stop them, just lessens them).

If you can’t find the email, check your junk folder, and your Promotions folder (Gmail) first, then try searching for Shoebox Christmas, if you still can’t find it let me know and I’ll get it sorted for you. You don’t need to reply to the email – just click the button, you won’t  get a confirmation email 🙂

PS If you haven’t see it already here’s our attempt at the mannequin challenge, because, well just because we could.

PPS if you wanted to sign up to the Rapid Response team (and think you can be quick enough on your feet to buy a present with a few days notice, here’s the link (click here).

Talk soon!

Pera

    Hi Pera,

I’m not sure I received the email to confirm I have dropped my presents off but I have!

Hi Pera, Sorry I can’t help with rapid response, but am off to Australia for a break. I’m sure I let you know I had dropped off the 4 gifts I was allocated. Two at BNZ Kilbirnie (before the earthquake) and the others at Trademe last week. But just confirming I did. Kind regards and happy Christmas to you, your family and the Wellington Shoebox crew.
